Welcome to Glenbrohane National School

Our school is situated in the parish of Knocklong-Glenbrohane, a rural area of south Co. Limerick, currently comprising of 2 mainstream class teachers, 1 full-time SEN and 1 shared SEN teacher, 2 SNA’s and 1 part-time secretary, cleaner and caretaker with an enrolment of 28 pupils.

Mission Statement: Glenbrohane NS is a Roman Catholic School (which is established in connection with the Minister for Education). Glenbrohane NS aims at promoting the full and harmonious development of all aspects of the person of the pupil: intellectual, physical, cultural, moral and spiritual, including a living relationship with God and other people. The school models and promotes a philosophy of life inspired by belief in God and in the live, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The Catholic school provides religious education for the pupils in accordance with the doctrines, practices and tradition of the Roman Catholic Church and promotes the formation of the pupils in the Catholic Faith.

Glenbrohane NS hopes to provide a well ordered, caring, happy and secure atmosphere where the intellectual, spiritual, physical, moral and cultural needs of the pupils are identified and addressed. We encourage the children in our care to develop their talents to their full potential and to grow into confident and caring members of the community. We hope that sure that every child is happy in school, that every child achieves their best and that everyone learns to work as part of a team.
