Galbally RFC Primary School Blitz

Our pupils from 3rd, 5th and 6th class took part in the annual Galbally RFC Primary School Blitz. The pupils completed weekly training with Tony prior to the blitz, to learn the skills of Tag Rugby. Tony completed a range of drills and activities with the pupils. Overtime the children grew in confidence on the field and displayed immense teamwork skills and leadership throughout the blitz!

The pupils had a great day playing against many different schools! Every student tried their best and played with determination and respect. A great day was had by all and the blitz was a credit to the hard work of the coaches and everyone involved in organising the event!

6th Class Jumpers

Our 6th Class enjoyed the process of collaborating to design their new final year jumpers! The pupils used their team work skills to create a piece that displayed their individuality and pride in their school. A huge thank you to James Ryan for making these lovely mementoes!

Christmas Show 2023

Our pupils performed ‘The Christmas Tree’ in Glenbrohane Church in December. The pupils collaborated together to put their own spin on the production, editing lines and creating new characters. The production was highly creative, exciting and unique!

The children performed a range of dances and songs including Christmas classics, Contemporary pop and Christmas Carols. The pupils performed a very entertaining, funny and uplifting Christmas show, with the story of Christmas placed at the centre of all endeavours!

Be Kind Programme

We recently completed the Be-Kind Programme with Lisa O’Connor for six weeks. This programme was aimed at supporting the creation of a united classroom climate and whole-school environment.

The pupils completed a range of activities involving team work, co-operation and leadership skills. Lisa supported the children to collaborate and communicate with kindness and respect. The pupils have since displayed such attributes in the yard and in the classroom on a daily basis! These skills will continue to be useful to them throughout all of their life experiences!

The pupils receiving their well-deserved certificates!

‘No act of Kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted’

Science Week 2023

A week of scientific investigations and discoveries! The pupils thoroughly enjoyed completing a vast variety of hand-on science experiments with their teachers and peers. We also learned amazing new things during our science workshop with Lismore Heritage Centre!

The theme for Science Week 2023 is ‘Human‘. This encourages us to consider what it means to be human in today’s world! We investigated and how the decisions we make everyday will impact the people and world of the future!

Engineers week 2021

Engineers week 2021 took place on the 1st-5th March this year. The junior room got to learn all about robots and how they work. They made their own robots out of recyclable materials at the end of the week. The Senior room participated in online STEAM activities through the Seesaw app. There was some great feedback from the children. It was a great week enjoyed by all!
